This is the only authentic Chinese/Thai/Sushi restaurant left in this stretch of Ramapo and Suffern, and uniquely diverse in its menu in that you can get Chinese, Thai and even Japanese dishes at all times - including on the lunch special - which nobody else does in this area.
They're definitely worth supporting and aim to please, with the owners on the premises at all times.
This, despite New York Presbyterian's second-tier "Columbia Doctors" offices trying to gentrify the shopping center, knock out the mom and pop stores, and make everyone's lives miserable.
Fortunately, Overseas Asian Bistro continues to hang on with a loyal customer base.
Two excellent choices are the Eggplant Chicken (available spicy or not spicy) and Green Curry Chicken. Also like the miso soup. -

Wow, really, how is it this place has any good reviews it has? Clueless people with tasteless and limited palates, again. I'm done even giving benefit of the doubt to anyplace off Yelp anymore, I'm jaded by now...
So in search of someplace new to try, on the way home from a day of recreation we happen upon this place, first checked Yelp for feedback and it seemed okay for the amount of reviews. Here it is - This place was not good, that's that. It's also a bit dirty and old, menus were all sticky and dirty, very, it's just a glorified take out joint. Silverware was dirty, my knife had a gross, white crust on it, turned me off more and instantly, so I tell the lady there, because obviously I'd need a new and probably another, dirty knife, and she didn't even acknowledge I handed her a white, crusted, disgusting dirty knife of theirs...
Boneless rib appetizer, had it many times, many places, this was mostly fat and of the crappiest cut of pork, some pieces basically inedible and covered in a red, sugary sauce. Rice with the entrees was overcooked, really? I had a chicken with carrots/celery, so bland, some chicken was tough too. Uneventful meal for me. My friend had some "bbq" type platter, it included some beef that tasted old, maybe rancid, we told the mgr. and then he claims it was the marinade? Yea right. They saw he also hardly ate his entree and left it there, not even taken for leftovers. Fried rice, oily and an old taste, look, it's pretty simple to know, this place sucks, I am just sure all else there is mediocre as well. Stay away and save your money. $50 bucks plus tip later, this place ripped us off in my opinion with their crappy quality and prepared food. Get with the program Overseas. You suck and you wasted our night of dining out and some good money. -

We hit up Overseas on our way home from Newark back to the Hudson Valley on a recent Friday night (it's about 45 minutes away). It was definitely one of those "I'm fiending for Chinese food" kind of evenings and we were appreciative of their 10:30pm closing time, because 'round these parts, you're often out of luck after that annoyingly early 10pm closing time (I'll always be an NYC girl at heart, expecting whatever food I want at whatever late hour it is).
We arrived around 9:30 and the place was empty (sleepy time in the Hudson Valley, for sure). No host nor hostess to be found, just a guy waiting up front for his takeout order (they clearly do a booming takeout business judging by the orders going out). Gotta say, it was kind of sad, because we stood up there for about 5 minutes before a somewhat sullen lady came out and listlessly sat us. We almost left but knew that we were nearing closing time everywhere and were hangry at this point. I will say that service throughout was pleasant enough, if not friendly, but at casual joints like this, as long as the food is good (and actually comes out quickly enough) and the condiments and water are readily available/replenished, I'm good.
Note: when I glanced at their online menu, I thought there might be a fair amount of vegan options, but the menu I looked at didn't really indicate what was vegan or even vegetarian, besides some fake meat options in the dishes. I would have loved to know, for example, if the spring rolls were vegan (often the wrapper has egg whites), or if the curries were pre-made with fish sauce, etc. I also didn't feel confident that our waitress, who barely spoke to us, would be knowledgable about this. An area for improvement, for sure! If you're going to have vegan options, tell us what they are and we will love you for it.
I ordered an AAC roll, despite the fact that there was literally no sushi chef to be found. Normally I wouldn't do this, but I figured what could be so wrong about a vegetable roll. It seemed as soon as I placed the order, some dude arrived to the restaurant, who seemed more of a host than a chef, and made my roll. It wasn't bad. It wasn't great. It was kind of a funny situation though. And my fiance was all "HELL NO" to ordering raw fish at this place.
But hold on a minute. I had the tofu and baby bok choy sauteed in a light garlic sauce. Hey, this was like really, REALLY good. The kind of stuff that satisfies what you're fiending for! My guy didn't love his dish, felt the vegetables seemed frozen (my bok choy was definitely fresh), otherwise, just OK.
So, I would say this isn't going to be a destination restaurant for us. Sure, on the way home from Newark at 9pm, it satisfied, and I know if we lived nearby, we'd take out. Leaving it at 3 stars because damn, that bok choy and tofu is damn delicious! -

Worst Chinese food ever never ever go here take my word for it we ordered honey bbq ribs it was so fatty the pork then I ordered bbq plater it came with chicken shrimp and rancid meat and over cooked brown rice it's a Chinese restaurant that puts out dirty silverware dirty glasses run down and Un kept if restaurant and if you like Chinese food stay away from this place and also told the people about the meat and they had the nerve to say to me it's the sauce as they took the whole mostly uneaten dish away to throw away they didn't even take off from the bill of fifty bucks.

Ordered delivery when staying at a hotel in the area. The food came much quicker than the time given which was awesome. The portions were very large for the price which was a great value, pineapple fried rice was delicious, crab Rangoon was crispy and warm and they even had perfectly seasoned tofu options for my vegetarian teenager. Very much recommend!
